Our Commitment

The FBC Foundation will provide funds to organizations supporting Madison County recovery efforts, including housing, supplies and economic development. In addition, we look to provide the FBC community additional volunteer opportunities.

FBC Foundation Grants

MountainTrue

French Broad River Cleanup

$10,000 for equipment to support MountainTrue’s efforts to clean up the French Broad River in Madison County.

$65,000 towards Rollins/Fortner Hollow streambed restoration in partnership with Mountain Valleys, Land of Sky, NC Flood Resiliency Blueprint and the people of Rollins & Fortner Hollow.

$7,500 to support the rebuilding of the Marshall facilities. For 47 years, the arts council has promoted the arts and culture in the community.

New Marshall Park Mobile Home (CHC)

$10,000 grant to Community Housing Coalition to help fund a park mobile home, providing temporary housing for a family in Marshall, NC, while their house is being reconstructed.

The Walnut Community Center (WCC)

Total $8,500 of grants to purchase food for WCC’s food bank to supplement farm donations.

Madison Middle School

Total of $7,500 of grants to Madison Middle School to cover remaining expenses for educational trips ($2,500) and support PBIS end-of-year trip ($5000)

$5,000 to Marshall Relief Alliance to provide secure storage for equipment and supplies used in home rebuilding.

MARC Resilient Homes Program

$40,000 to help fill gaps in funding for more resilient new and renovated homes in Madison County under Madison Alliance for Rebuilding Communities.

Marshall/Hot Springs Rebuilding Together Fund (Mountain Bizworks)

$100,000 for Mountain Bizwork’s Marshall-Hot Springs Rebuild Together program providin funds to 30 Marshall and 11 Hot Springs businesses, with individual grants ranging from $7,500 to $25,000.
